Really...40K tickets? I am skeptical but I would love to see it just for the sake of rock radio

Where’d you get 40k from? The capacity at Forest Hills is 13k

I hate to be this guy and I like these bands a lot, but it’s an interesting question.

It’s good to see people taking a stand. But should bands do a “benefit show” where info is so muddled that eventually the “stand” may age like milk? Also, unfortunately, much of the aid gets destroyed or taken by Hamas when it goes through the corridor.

I’d just hate to see talented bands go the way of Staind & 3 Doors Down as misinformation is being shot out rapidly in all directions by more than one party.

If this isn’t appropriate for this thread, I’ll take it down. But it’s an interesting thought.

Great lineup.

Out of curiosity, isn’t Megacorp a full-on amphitheater? Is ALK3 big enough to do that venue? Or is it part of a fest?

 

This is a last minute show as all these bands habe pulled out of Download fest this weekend in protest of their sponsorship deal with Barclays.

Oooof. Just read up on this. Regardless of my take, defense industry sponsorships for music festivals (or anything at all) is horrible, so I get it. Thank you for the additional context.

 

It functions as indoor/outdoor. Indoor portion is 2,700 capacity

 

So that rumored Deafheaven/Converge tour was bs then?

 

I don’t think it was, I think it just got shelved once Kurt had all those medical issues.

 

There was some talk about tours not selling very well... a month and a half from now and for a show in the middle of Chicago it's looking pretty bad.

 

Their 2 new songs are really bad and generic, plus all the allegations against their ex-bassist and the flop of their last album.

They went to selling out arenas to this, its pretty sad.
