Been listening to Integrity Blues a lot lately. I kinda think it might be my favorite album of theirs at this point, at least certainly up there with Bleed American and Futures.

I still remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard Sure and Certain for the first time. A classic.

Integrity Blues is the band's coolest record since Clarity. Their experimentation in sounds and tones is used to up their already classic sound and I think it pays off in spades. I always have nothing but love for that record and it has some of my favorite Jim lyrics on it.

  6. I always see Integrity Blues as Clarity's spiritual successor and it deserves to be regarded as one of their best for sure

Yeah it’s in my top 4. Idk I seriously love every JEW album and the difference in quality between bleed American, futures, chase this light and integrity blues is quite literally just splitting hairs. and invented and clarity are pretty much just as good too. damage and surviving are fucking great and nice curiosities among their discog for very specific styles of music. they’re my favorite band of all time for a reason, they could never do any wrong in my eyes and all their albums grow even better over time. coming up on 8 years of integrity blues and it’s a classic. like that’s what it is. it’s one of the best alternative rock records of the 2010s certainly the best elder statesman album out of the scene from that era. lots of bands from the late 90s early 00s emo and pop rock scene never really struck gold in the same way in the 2010s. Jimmy eat World absolutely did with integrity blues. it’s an achievement

If Chase This Light swapped out like 3 album tracks for b-sides, it’d be right up there for me.

but I think I do agree that Integrity Blues is my fourth fav. I also have a soft spot for Invented because it was my first album as a fan.

I’ll never shut up about what invented meant to me as a senior in high school the fall it came out. Just insane what the words on that album mean to me.

Met Jim at his solo acoustic show and told him I “learned how to drive” to My Best Theory and that kinda blew his mind lol

His solo show around I think 2013-2014? was amazing and so intimate I didn’t talk to him after but up on stage he was just happy anyone came out it was at a tiny bar but had a good showing

We had about 9 people at my show and he sweat his ass off working for us all. Then when the show was done, he just stepped off stage and started shaking hands!

Can you fucking imagine an entire acoustic version of Integrity Blues? The 3 songs they released were great

Jimmy isn’t my favorite band, but I can’t come up with another band that consistently puts out great albums like them. The hit to miss ratio is insane.
