I don't think that's it. People in the past didn't physically look older. It's more about subconscious perception of generational aesthetics.

The current theory among social psychologists is that our mind's interpret young people in the past as looking and seeming older because aesthetics of particular generations do not change that much over time. So the dress/style of a 20 something year old in the 1960's is what our brain's associate with the dress/style of an 80 something year old in the 2020's. So we see a 24 year old In the past with the dress/hairstyle/speaking style/way of carrying themselves of an 84 year old now, and our mind's do weird visual math where we call it in the middle and go "he looks 44"

 

It's true, but don't expect any of those collectives to be able to make much money either.

i feel like that's the capitalist success story tho. you create a small business like a music website or black woman centric hair product, then you sell it off. that's what you're supposed to do.

 

Seriously the inevitable streaming docuseries on Kick in a few years is gonna be wild. A streaming site set up by shady gambling moguls for purpose to promote crypto-gambling to children, gets a major sponsorship/stake from Drake, presents itself as an almost libertarian alternative to Twitch where there are limited guidelines/rules. Quickly becomes a haven for nazis, pedophiles, manosphere bros, cyber criminals, and generally the worst people on the internet.

Basically Kick is to Twitch what 4Chan is to Reddit.
