Because they let David Bowies son direct a Warcraft movie and it tanked (I like it but would never in a million years call it a good movie)

An Arthas movie is my ultimate Hollywood dream. I need to read my Arthas and Sylvanas books soon. I got half way into the pre shadowlands book and got super super bored. Forgot what it was called even. But some of those classic books like the war of the ancients have some solid YA fantasy writing

Just got home and caught up on the Xbox showcase. Really good show. Fable, Doom, Perfect Dark, Avowed, South of Midnight, Dragon Age, and Atomfall were the highlights for me.

    I'd give the showcase a 10/10 but it didn't have Blur 2.

I’ve seen a good number of people that were apart of a “council” BioWare put together of fans that got to play test the game in 2022 and 2023 and they’re all saying the same things: the trailer isn’t a good indicator of tone, tevinter nights is a better indicator of tone (great book of short stories I own two copies of), dragon age fans will be very happy if you accept that this is a different game from origins, 2, and inquisition, it is very lore heavy, it has plenty of dark fantasy and horror elements, overall yeah take it with a grain of salt because I assume they chose the most die hard of fans even more obsessed with the games than myself but at the very least it confirms that it’s gonna be right up my alley regardless

tons of stuff out there pretty much saying this. I’ve watched the trailer three times now and I legitimately think i saw a different trailer than these people in the YouTube comments

Obviously the hype overshadowed these kinds of responses, but I'm starting to see the anti-woke crowd pop up complaining about Joanna Dark's appearance. Why do people have to be so damn cringe.

This game from the PC Gaming Show looks so cool. Definitely the most inventive looking game out of everything this weekend. It's literally a 3D platformer and a 2D platformer at the same time.

I always feel like such a terrible rock band player whenever I play online and everyone is constantly FCing, but then I have folks over like today and I feel like a god doing 95%+ on expert mode while they struggle on easy and medium, takes me back to when I first started playing these games... Almost 20 years ago, whew

After rewatching trailers, here's my list of the standouts that I can't wait to play.

    Expedition 33
    Assassins Creed
    Avowed
    Fable
    Diablo
    Mecha Break
    Wuchang
    Perfect Dark
    Gears
    State of Decay
    Dragon Age
    Doom
    Flintlock
    Atom Fall

  14. with Half Genie Hero the Shantae series looks and plays better than ever before! And as always, it has cute characters and funny dialogue. I'm only a few stages in so far, it doesn't feel like a metroidvania as much as Pirate's Curse does, and the story is a little disjointed, but I'm having a blast! this series keeps trying new things while still maintaining its charm.

You're really making me want to do a WayFoward run after I finish Meg's Monster.

So the adult Meg part was much shorter than I anticipated, and led to timey-wimey shenanigans, and now I'm Roy again, but the past has been changed.

We'll see if this leads to a better future. I'm sure it will; second chances at happy endings are also Odencat's MO.

I am normally someone who thinks Concerned Ape should be given all the time needs as an individual dev to work on projects, but jesus christ my man get that Stardew 1.6 update on consoles already. I feel like PC Stardew players are eating, while everyone else has been waiting for almost 3 months.

I struggle with picking up a lot of old games that I never played and don't have the nostalgia to help me through the rough edges, but how does Inquisition honestly play in 2024? I'd love to go back and give it a go. From a surface level, it seems like it wouldn't bother me and seem too outdated, but how 'janky' and technically lacking is it in how it plays?

It’s not janky at all. It’s a highly polished BioWare title from when that studio was firing on all cylinders.

    I REALLY like that game
