That Wrestlemania certainly wasn't anything close to the worst of all time.

So I guess it really did break Wrestlemania 3's phony attendance record, just not by as much as the phony number WWE is giving out.

 

Can't wait for Raw tonight and have the crowd crap all over it

 

It's a stretch to even consider Rock's match real
Ziggler's had far more high profile Mania moments

I don't think this goes down as one of the worst Manias of all time. It had the potential to be really good, besides the main event the matches were good. But the endings to the matches made no sense, the endings and the main event is what really took the potential away this year.

 

I don't like HBK, Foley, Stone Cold, Rock in 2016. I'm watching WWE for a bunch of other people that are there every week and are as talented as those guys.

 

The warrior award only came about because he literally died after cutting a promo and they needed to do something to make it up to the family and show they gave a shit. Him being dead made it mostly low-risk in that there's nothing that could happen to exacerbate the matter going forward. With Styles you have a guy flying far enough under the radar that there's not the same pressure put on the company to address it publicly. that changes if you elevate him, if you make him a focal point. if you have him doing the cena media blitz where he's stopping by the today show and sportscenter all the time.

 

And I bet you HBK can still out wrestle half if not the entire roster. He looked great.

 

Oh I know. I was just pointing it out as more of a joke. I don't want to put any merit on that 'match' at all. What a mess that whole segment was.

 

Maybe he can but I don't really want to see him. Maybe if he was there every week building stories and feuds but certainly not like this.

Maybe focus on the half that can wrestle just as good or better than HBK and build those guys instead.

 

can you come up with a more inconsequential wrestlemania? what changed about the landscape of the company? what dynamics of feuds were altered?

the most significant development in terms of change was ryder winning the IC title and we all think he's going to lose the belt in the next week.

If I have to watch triple h vs roman again I'm not even watching the main event in the next ppv and changing the channel. It honestly makes me sick how bad all of this is, if triple h doesn't see this he must be nuts.

Most inconsequential does not equal worst. Don't get me wrong, most of the results tonight were garbage. Actual match quality alone was enough to keep it out of worst discussions.

Ryder winning the belt will still be a feel good moment even if loses the belt in the next week, I'd be okay with that.

Charlotte said on the Today show that the Divas term is officially retired and now they're all just considered Superstars

 

Based on Roman's Today Show appearance, seems like they might be setting up a feud with Cena.

 

That we've all shit on since they were announced. Those 2 matches were spectacle for spectacle's sake.
Also, the Women's Division is a pretty big change of landscape and uhhh Ryder Revolution, ever heard of it?

I don't think any of us are saying it was a great show or that it's top 10. I didn't particularly enjoy much of it. But to say it was one of the worst of all time is shortsighted at best. It's somewhere in the bottom half, sure.

 

Anyone notice that Corbin acted kind of like a face at times last night? Idk about that lol

 

I don't understand how their appearances in non matches take away booking from any of those other people that you watch for. They way they booked them didn't steal a spot in the card from anyone, and if you don't think new day the League of Nations and the wyatts didn't have dreams fulfilled by being in the same ring as those guys, then you're missing out on the point.

 

Maybe they loved being in the ring with them. But as a viewer it didn't do anything for me.

Also The Rock beat Rowan in like 6 seconds. What does that accomplish?

You should be protecting the new guys and making them look strong. Not the old dudes. It's backwards.

The old guys only got to be superstars because they were allowed to carry the show instead of taking finishers from the old guys.

If you pop to seeing The Rock in 2016 I mean good for you but personally I don't want to see him, much less going over newer guys.

 

I'm still not convinced we get Balor tonight or that WWE's version of the Bullet Club is going to initially include him. I think It's going to be AJ/Doc/Anderson.

 

That's going to be the best part. I wonder if they will mute the Roman haters again tonight.
