They were giving Avonte Maddox some work at safety during OTAs too. I think it has less of their interest in any individual player plying some safety and more to do with pretty much no one behind CJGJ and Reed Blankenship as starters. They have Sydney Brown, but he didn’t play much last season and tore his ACL in January
