Kind of a boring sport, if I'm being honest.

    Not newbie, I think Supporter

I prefer Baseball, but better. Listening to this and thinking about people saying the new album is "who he's always been" just makes me want to slap someone.

  11. Selling my light blue vinyl copy of I Don't Think It Is for $20 shipped if anyone is interested

  12. it's crazy how songs recorded using a 4 track still sound better than half of SA's discography... he's really lost the sauce

  13. Concerning the main topic of the album, that's not what he wants us to believe

  14. perhaps he should consider writing some more weird love songs (see: not involving cum) and stop trying so hard to self-mythologize!!!

I do remember scouring the internet for all the b-sides/demos/rarities I could find back in the day, and definitely heard demos of the IARB stuff, but I don’t believe I recognize the Forrest demos. I remember some stuff had alternate lyrics, like “in the alley with knives” and “I watch my yellow cat fuck with my red cat” and such, those aren’t the versions here tho. however the 3 non-Forrest demos at the end are definitely ones I recognize.

Just listened through these and definitely never have heard them, some really interesting versions here, would love to read more info / backstory of when these were recorded and what the whole story is

if I remember correctly, Forrest recorded the original IARB demos with Max. He has a weird reputation now, but I remember a time when Max seemed pretty well liked by other artists. I remember him being friends with Matt Thiessen of Relient k, Forrest, and Anthony Green just to name a couple. But since after Hebrews he seems to have slowly burned those bridges.

I bet if you give max $100 you can get a backstory written by his daughter in crayon by 2028.
