The older I get, the more often I look at a routing like that and think, "Yeah, that lines up perfectly with taking two weeks PTO from their day jobs."

if you work remote it might not even be that hard to do both at once its not like youre playing day shows

 

I would find that really challenging with my job, but depending on what you do it's certainly possible. I think Dylan from SLS has talked about working full time from the road.

They're from Westport right? They should play that venue in Norwalk that has been getting indie shows from time to time.

 

Oh wow TIL that they're from Westport. Now that I'm living in Westchester, I would much prefer shows get routed to Norwalk more often. I know that the Port Chester Capitol Theatre is close by, but still surprised there's never been a prominent Stamford venue.

 

Yes they are just like my fav Chelsea Cutler who is finally doing a Westport hometown show this summer

 

Connecticut discourse in here is huge today.

New Haven popping off as a halfway between NYC/Boston with the main promoter there seems to make it harder for Fairfield County to compete for suburban NYC crowds, on top of Westchester/Long Island/NJ. Seems like it’s either that Norwalk venue for occasional small shows + Bridgeport for medium shed shows, and that’s about it

 

Big fan of misfits tickets being nearly $300 lol

 

As someone who grew up in Darien and New Canaan, I am hear to talk about CT being the forgotten part of the tri-state area. Ironic that once I left, Westchester and Fairfield County now have a ton of venues.
