capitalism isn't consumer driven. outside of the commodifying of basic human needs, most other demands originate from advertisements in the form of emotional manipulation or plain old fashioned scams

AI as a marketing term is definitely the latter. Once tech redubbed all machine learning algorithms under a single umbrella it became a race to grift as many dumb people out of their money as possible

 

I didn’t know people hated Face ID that much

 

face id is cool, i dont like that its the only biometric you can use on iphone

This is what happens when you only think about the user experience in the abstract. "Well, this is a user-prompted experience, which is different from a Google-provided experience. They are different things." Well, why would you allow users to initiate a bad experience? If it sucks and it says "Google" on the top of a page, users don't care about your internal parsing of what is/isn't Google's authorship.

I don’t have a car and can’t afford a car and the public transit in this city is so bad that if I want a job I have to be able to walk to it and anything in walking distance pays dirt wages so if I did that I would literally never be able to afford a car again and just be stuck forever, which I already am until somebody comes and bails me out or I sell all my vinyl, video games, and Pokémon cards

 

not having a car sounds like a poor excuse for not picking up a gig job doing Uber or Lyft or InstaCart

 

I would love to be doing doordash right now lol too bad I DONT HAVE A CAR
