It's the only movie that understands how awful it is to have a girlfriend who likes gossip girl more than the Mars Volta

 

This is being discussed in the Star Trek thread, but I figured I'd share it here too.

Basically what this mean is that this will take place in the same alt-timeline continuity as the JJ Abrams Trek trilogy and will be a reimagining of the lore that was established in the Star Trek: Enterprise series and the First Contact film.

I have several issues with this concept, but whatever i will still check it out. As long as they keep the prime-timeline continuity going strong on the TV shows, I could really care less what they do in the movies.

 

Watching some old Sunnys, and it's real jarring seeing "Directed by Matt Shakman" in the opening credits knowing that dude is helming what will likely be next year's biggest movie lol

Also the episode I am watching has the incomparable late René Auberjonois as Dee's old high school drama teacher.

 

Other than Sherlock Holmes, just about everything he's written or directed has been junk. So this is a bummer.

 

I have never stared at a still so long trying to figure out if that is makeup or facial CGI rendering.

Speaking again about old Sunny episodes and jarring when people/names pop up
