Yeah, they hardly resemble each other at all tbh - Funny Games is a dark, disturbing psychological thriller where the killers don't really hide themselves where as The Strangers is more of a straightforward home invasion/stalking film with slasher vibes. Feel like Funny Games ahs way more in common with a movie like The Killing of a Sacred Deer

 

I should rewatch Funny Games

I like Michael pitt in the remake of funny games. Seems like he's unfortunately someone who's hard to work with tho so I feel like he doesn't show up in much, or at least not for long

 

Very good. It's not horror, much closer to The Hateful Eight in a modern diner, but if you like tense, slow-burn thrillers that pop off, Jim Cummings, or Richard Brake, you'll have a good time.
