I feel like season 6 may have been cut short but I don’t remember. But yeah from what I remember it’s pretty clone focused.

 

Yeah season 6 is a:

A 4 part clone arc about their control Implant chips
A 3 part Padme-centric Senate politics arc
A 2 part Windu/Jar Jar team-up arc
A one off episode about the Syfo Dyas conspiracy which I think is the only episode that season Kenobi and Anakin are prominently featured as main characters
A 3 part Yoda discovering secrets of the force arc

 

I did not like the Windu/Jar Jar episodes much at all.

However they did more or less prove that Jar Jar fucks

 

if it strengthens your resolve that first arc is maybe the single best in any of the animated shows. legitimately incredible shit

 

And season 7 ends on a banger of an arc

 

yeah the last arcs of s5 and s7 are both very, very good too. the latter has my favourite lightsaber duel in canon

 

Oh and I looked it up and the bad droid arc in season 5 you guys warned me about is a 4 parter

 

If you’re a completionist just leave it on and play a video game or do something else lol

 

oops uh oh oh no I went to a Star Wars Unlimited thing last night and liked it

Ok yeah it's cemented for me now. Darth Maul is the single best villain in the entire Star Wars canon.

 

It’s truly wild they made it 4 parts.

This youngling's journey to making their lightsabers arc in season 5 is really bumming me out knowing most of these kids get murdered a year later.

Yes and I do know there is a Bad Batch episode that follows up on one of them. I looked ahead at all of their character pages on Wookieepedia because I need to know lol

Gungi's got a sick lightsaber too. And their episode of Bad Batch was a great episode

 

Wait so I am going to have to read a comic book limited series to understand what happens to Maul between season 5 and season 7?

 

I looked this up and it sounds like it was intended to be part of season 6 and was adapted into a comic for some reason. Maybe the episode count got trimmed that season?

 

Okay, wait, I see. The show was cancelled after season 5 and season 6 was made up of whatever episodes were completed. And then other unfinished arcs they tried to address through other means, like said comic. What a mess.

 

Well it's because the show got canceled after season 5. When they did a get season 6 on Netflix and it had limited episodes the next year, at that point the Sons of Dathomir comic already was about to roll out.

 

There is also a novel (Dark Disciple) that concludes Asajj Ventress' clone wars storyline that was supposed to be an arc on the show too.

 

I haven’t read the comic but I don’t remember being lost or confused when they finish out mauls story in clone wars.

 

yeah it's not really necessary to understand anything but I remember it being pretty cool, I found a PDF of it somewhere on the internet at some point. if you're not a diehard completionist it's fine
