Which ones? We have a lot of the same ones at the top. Biggest thing I disagree with on your list is Backend of Forever being the worst song on IKS.

33, Blood Red Summer, The Suffering, Radio Bye Bye, Made Out of Nothing, and Iron Fist were the ones that stood out to me most

 

Made Out of Nothing and Iron Fist are two of my least favorite Coheed songs ever, the others are great but had to be rated somewhere.

I was actually listening to Descension and think it's pretty amazing and my dislike of Iron Fist makes me think I don't like the whole album as much as I really do.

 

Iron Fist is good

I absolutely love the first half of this record, it might be my favourite stretch of songs in the whole discography. Unfortunately I don't like the second half nearly as much. I don't really dislike anything on here but the songs just lose me a little and the parts aren't as memorable or fun as the first half. Overall this is still one of my favourite albums by the band and I think this sound really suited them.

 

I’ve come around on the album version of the song, but the full-band acoustic performance of it they were doing on the SSTB anniversary tour was so good and I wish it was more in that direction. Probably would have been in my top 20 if that were the case

 

I'm revisting IKS now and I'm liking it more than ever before.

 

IKS is my favorite album as a teenager, every single song is a 10 for me, and it really still holds up.

 

Yeah I definitely think if left to it’s primarily acoustic state it would be much less offensive, but the beeps and boops and Claudio’s random vocalizations at the end just feel totally unnecessary. Feels like a true case of a song that they worked on for too long instead of just recording it acoustic and calling it a day.

id have to really do a dive on the post NWFT stuff to remember them and see how I feel about them now. Recency bias will put the vaxis stuff ahead of most of them but, I remember really liking a lot of the Ascension Descension stuff and remember reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally not caring for much of CBTS and YOTBR.

top 3 is very very easily IKS, GAIV, SSTB

 

Hopefully one day they'll put all of the Neverender boxset on streaming services. Everyone deserves to listen to those.

 

The Afterman just really never clicked with me. Every time I try to revisit those albums I’d just…rather be listening to anything else in the band’s catalog lol. Someone was talking the other day about how they feel like those albums re-invigorated the band, that feeling absolutely comes with Vaxis for me.

 

Every song on IKS is good but I think Al the Killer is objectively the worst song simply for the 'die white girls' line even if it is catchy lol. I do still like that little hook at 2:30 right after the second chorus

 

That song and Backend of Forever do have some cringe lyrics/vocals

 

Honestly, my least favorite aspect of this band is Claudio’s lyrics at times because of this dumbass story. I can find at least one song on every album besides YOTBR and TUC where his lyrics are absolutely goofy at best or very cringe at worst
