Ughhh. It did kind of fizzle out by the end but I still feel like it was salvageable

 

I think I like the John mulaney talk show cause it reminds me of the chaotic energy Craig Ferguson had in his show. Even has a robot sidekick!

 

Used to love watching Craig

 

plus both have genuine love for the guests, like how Craig kept asking Kristen Bell if her show was called House of Pies

 

Scavengers Reign was my favorite show of 2023. Super bummed about this.

In term of chaotic talk shows, it also kind of reminded me of this. This is actually way more chaotic lol

Also it is 100% worth it to stay to the end to see what is in the dumpster

 

Man I miss TCGS more than anything.

 

It was the best. I love how many comedians that are popular now that I first saw on the early public access TCGS like almost 10 years ago. Conner O'Malley, Jo Firestone, Joe Pera, Zach Cherry, ect. It was like the Johnny Carson for New York alt-comedians in the early/mid 2010's.

Like even Alyssa Stonoha who would call into the show as a 15 year old fan all the time and became a regular ended up getting her own show on Adult Swim years later lol

 

Never saw that show so watched some of that one and man having Paul sheer and jason mantzoukas is always straight chaos lol. They’re so good together.

 

I was going to college right outside NYC during the public access run so I used to go in person a lot. Such fun times in that studio, great memories that will last me the rest of my life.

It wasn't a talk show, but for a long time Insomniac with Dave Attell was a huge part of my late night viewing, along with Conan.

Oh yeah that is just a taste. The public access version of TCGS had an episode where it was just Chris handcuffed to a chair and while being beaten with dildos for an hour straight. The Front Bottoms were the musical guest that episode and Chris danced around shirtless waving a dildo in the air to The Beers. Just insane shit.
