Some of the Twittxr accounts y’all pay attention to (either to dunk on or, worse, actually sincerely follow their feed) really confuse me, lol.

It’s ok to remove people from your social media diet who show their ass. And, it’s ok to not fixate on specific shitty people who you’re only look at to get mad at.

anyone I post in here that im dunking on is not someone I actually follow and is usually something I feel important to highlight to show how depraved some people are (such as the Brianna Wu cocaine left tweet, from personal experience I find it important to call out any stigmatization of substance abuse especially from “liberal” people). it’s almost always something shoved into my for you against my will. eventually I’ll have had enough and block her.

 

I had a discussion with my therapist today about balancing getting really mad online and staying informed and I feel like my balance is WAY better than some other people’s on this site (especially in other forums). There are entire threads dedicated to getting mad at problematic people lol

I’ve been clean for 90 days so here’s your reminder to support harm reduction organizations in your community, access to clean needles and narcan saved my life many times and without harm reductions services keeping me alive I never would’ve made it long enough to get clean so please support and donate whenever you can and continue to destigmatize addiction and substance abuse in your daily interactions you never know when your words could be saving someone like me :)

 

I had a weird kneejerk "..but the hippies during Nam though.." reaction when I saw this tweet, but then like 10 seconds of thinking about the actual history of that era, and how the free love stuff distracted from the anti-war stuff, brought in people for the wrong reasons, and many cases led to sexual violence against women, I was like no they are 100% correct to take this stance on fucking during protests .
