I haven't seen Bayside headline in like, 5-6 years or so but... Has it all gotten even worse with their pivot toward a heavier sound? I'd imagine it must have, right?

 

The say anything tour has been getting rave reviews online complete with comments such as

“max looks like he has no interest in being there.”
“Was singing the wrong words, no singing at all, or talking the lyrics”
“Seems to only be doing this for the cash grab”

I feel like saw a ton of people calling all of this when the tour was announced.

 

Wonder if there was any precautions LN could have taken, surely locking down most of the acts to be contracted to be in Vegas an extra night (so could reschedule) could've been cheaper than the possibility of an all out cancellation? No idea if that was an option but you'd think they'd have a plan b after what happened at when we were young.


Here's hoping when we were young doesn't suffer the same fate haha

 

This is all so surprising to me because the Bayside crowds in Toronto always rule. Maybe we are just way nicer up here lol

 

Bayside has always had the worst crowds. I actually saw them at Starland a few years ago and no one would let my pregnant wife through to get to the bathroom lol it was insane

But in Cleveland it’s the same. Just a bunch of arms crossed don’t touch me or bump me or try to walk through me assholes

 

Bayside and Taking Back Sunday undoubtedly have the worst fanbases as far as bands in this scene.

 

Went to the Chicago bayside/finch/afs/winona fighter show. Crowd was great for all the openers, gave me false hope for bayside. Was on the guardrail but had enough of the crowd after the first 1/4 of the set. Tried to get out but NO ONE would move an inch. I’m 290lbs… you want me to throw my weight around? Fine. Barreled through and people bitched and I’m like that’s on you. Got to the side by the bar and that was packed. Literally no walking path to get to the back of the venue. Again no one would move and hob staff didn’t care. I was starting to lose it and my wife took charge and forced us out. At that point I’m completely checked out and have to walk it off (pun slightly intended). At the back, no sight line of the stage, away from people, and these two bros start screaming at each other and one looks like he’s going to pass out. Apparently he was fist fighting people. For no reason they are yelling at each inches away from me. Security walks by and i give them a wtf look and security basically shrugged it off. Thanks.

 

I hate the HOB in Chicago with a passion.

 

I've only seen them once but Bayside at 2021 Chicago Riot Fest was WOAT crowd there

 

Next time people aren't moving to let you out, tell them you're going to throw up. Works like a charm

 

Funny you mention that, at Belle and Sebastian on Wed, there were like 2-3 people exiting the front looking like they were about to puke. Never seen so many of them at one show.

I've seen Bayside 4-5 time in Chicago and never once seen any fight or anything out of the ordinary. Maybe I should consider myself lucky.

I'm seeing Heart Attack Man in Chicago next Saturday, I think I remember hearing some stuff about their fan base as well.

 

Not the fanbase, just the lead singer being an absolute moron.

 

That Anxious/Koyo/One Step Closer tour being announced tomorrow.

 

What did he do?

 

People find him off-putting online. He’s pro-gun (but a leftist). He dated that Awliv girl who’s TikTok/onlyfans famous and people found them and their relationship annoying.

other than that I think he’s clean. It’s just a personal preference thing.

 

I've seen Heart Attack Man like 3 times. The fanbase is fine, Eric just says dumb edgelord things from time to time and could benefit from an Internet break once in a while.
