Pretty sad to see Fall Guy not do well. Hope that it would have legs, but with Apes and Furiosa coming up, likely it will get buried like the last Mission: Impossible.

also, crazy to see Star Wars at number 2.

Well

1) That hasn’t always been true. Marvel was steamrolling over everything this time of year for almost the past decade. Even in this time in 99, when The Matrix came out, everything else was single digits.

2) Can’t deny that the strike really hurt movie releases that we’ll be feeling for the next year or so.

 

Everything going to streaming in 45 days or whatever isn’t helping either.

 

yeah these movies will have other outlets, people will watch The Fall Guy on airplanes and when it's on fxx while they're at the gym or whatever

 

Hard to find time to go to the movies with kids and they just don’t seem to make many kid/family movies that actually go to theatres anymore.

Speaking of IF there are several bus stop ads for it around here which I’ve never seen for movies before. Seems weird.

 

Garfield will do very well. IF - we’ll see if people want to see what’s in the vivid imagination of Jim from Office.

 

I’m sure my parents are gonna wanna go see IF

 

if being #1 at the box office is considered a bad thing, maybe movies are becoming too expensive to make and promote

(maybe almost-completed movies should be used as tax write-offs instead )
