i bet that tbd band was supposed to be ben quad. they recently were on a tour together (and hit chicago, actually) but had to drop off for a family sitch i think.

 

Spotify reminded me today that I want The Forecast at Riot Fest this year like nothing else.

 

It's exciting that we're finally in the home stretch. Should only be 2-3 weeks now!

 

already getting a few of those "you get the line up when you get it" and "every time someone asks, we delay it by another day" tweets.

 

Really hoping for sooner than later (even just the other headliners at this point would be better than nothing), but I think a month ago or so they were tweeting the same stuff

They've also had Ticket Prices Increasing Soon on their website for like the last 3 months, and they are still the same price

 

I should really consider buying tickets now. There seems like a good chance I'll want to go two days and a 3-day is cheaper than two single days I'm sure.

 

Amber Pacific is playing Lisle in August so they’re probably out. Would have been a fun mid-afternoon nostalgia set.

 

Of course the only time they play anywhere near me is the only day in August I already have something I can't cancel. I really wanted to see them.

 

Mad Caddies are playing Reggies in August so they are unlikely

Ben Folds is out as well with a show in Des Plaines in October - his next tour is in 75 cities, go see him somewhere anywhere (he has open dates all three days of Riot but I can't see how he slips in a Ben Folds Five reunion with his schedule)

 

There’s a British (correction: Irish) band called Sprints. They put out their debut album earlier this year, post punkish. They played Schubas earlier this year and said they will be back this year, then put out U.S. tour dates which start on September 25 and someone commented on their IG post about it asking about Riot Fest and they gave the eyes emoji. So that’s a lock.

 

Rad, their record from this year was really cool.

I thought I heard Trevor Keith say Face to Face would be back last night, and someone on Reddit just posted the same thing. So I guess we know another band for NoFX’s stage.

The Sisters of Mercy and Blaqk Audio are out, playing Chicago in October.

 

They're starting the week by going hard on Twitter about the line-up. So, yeah, the line-up drop could be anytime between tomorrow and May 31st. LOL

But next week is far and away the most likely timeframe.

 

Okay, so it won't be released this Friday. That narrows it down from like, 20 possible days to 19. Very helpful.
