part of me is considering getting that PlayStation Portal... though having to always be connected to wi-fi is a huge drawback
still, for $200 i'm seriously debating using some of my tax return on it

Yeah it should, assuming the remote play works just like it does on a phone. I've never used a portal but I'm fairly certain Greg Miller mentioned taking his on a trip with him and it worked fine.

I played a lot of Spider-Man with my backbone when I had to dogsit one weekend and it worked with minimal issue other than some skipping here and there if the wifi connection had weakened.

 

Apparently Provenance and RetroArch are also working to get their apps submitted eventually. So PS1 hopefully isn’t too far away

Recommend me an Assasins Creed game. I played 1 when it came out and that’s it. I hear Origins has RPG elements, so I’m most interested in that. I know they’re all one big story. Would I be lost starting with that?

 

Ezio trilogy (the best of classic AC) and Black Flag (best pirate game) are peak AC imo. But if you are more interested in the new style, I personally liked Valhalla the most of the three

 

To follow up on this, the game absolutely deserves the 4 it got from IGN. It's quite bad! Bummer, but I'll still play it a bit for old times sake.

 

In addition to persona 5, trails in the sky and Jedi fallen order are quite cheap rn and on my radar. Worth it? 5 bucks for Star Wars 10 bucks for trails
