How does Vogel keep getting work? Not to just pick on him because how do like 70% of coaches still get work

 

I mean look at Doc Rivers

you win one title and you can get as many coaching jobs you want

 

He seemed solid with the Pacers. Frankly I thought it was a fine hire for the Magic at the time, given his experience coaching a young team.

In hindsight, probably just rode PG in a weak East at the time and had somewhat competitive series with Cleveland, and then to get lucky with the LA chip. I think it’s safe to say now that he’s a poor man’s Doc.

 

i also think beal + booker would be a nightmare to coach. not sure who would succeed with that lineup tbh

Again didn’t mean to specifically pick on him but he was being discussed. I liked him in Indiana. I just think it’s funny how in football and basketball especially it’s like you can be terrible and get fired but some team is chomping at the bit for you. I know a lot goes into these things too of course. And sometimes it works out and they find themselves again.

It just feels like he worked a lot better as the "star." The issue with the Suns could 100% just be bad coaching match, and 3 mouths to feed that need the ball more.
