Phone calls. I just want like an assistant or something who makes all my phone calls for me. I have to call my insurance tomorrow and I don’t want to!!! I will be anxious. I will pace around my whole house. It will take 5 mins and end up being no big deal but I will still be nervous and will continue to be nervous every time even though I know it’s ridiculous! Thank you anxiety!!

 

I hate how much I relate to this

 

I’ve avoided making phone calls and missing out on stuff I had to take care of because of this.

 

That 4 years after Tiger King came out and I still see clips on Twitter, IG, and YouTube daily of "animal influencers" casually chilling with big cats and treating them like housepets, and it makes me think the point that series was trying to get across failed on every level.

I still see clips from that creepy ponytail guy's zoo cult compound constantly and they're consistently getting millions of views.

 

The company I've worked at the last 8 years (today is my 8th anniversary with them, actually) has used Salesforce forever and ever, but starting early next month they're switching us all to using ZenDesk instead, which is a completely different thing top to bottom. And we're getting virtually no training on it and even my manager is like "I dunno." Going from one thing for 8 years to now something completely different is frustrating/scary/annoying/etc. It feels more like a few steps backward than forward like all the head honchos claim it'll be. But maybe that's just cuz it's new and I'm being stubborn. The workflow I've had for 8 years is all changing in a couple weeks, kinda out of nowhere, and there's no one really helping any of us to transition other than saying "just play with it."

 

I started having Hypnic Jerks (involuntary spasms/twitches right before you go to sleep) for the first time recently as 30 something, and I didn't even know that was a thing before it started happening, and I thought I had brain cancer or something.

This is exactly how I feel. When I read, there's no mental image to go along with it. Which is why I never have any opinions on casting for adaptions ha as I never picture the characters when reading.

I also have experienced the exploding head syndrome. I have woken completely startled to crushingly loud noises that I'm the only that's heard. Doesn't happen often, but half a dozen times in my life.

 

I also have it , fairly minor just can't picture books in my mind and have no visual memory

 

See, I already don't read as much as I should but this would make me read even less

 

It's not horrible but it's not the best and I have an absolute terrible sense of direction and genuinely struggle when I come to an intersection to try picture in my mind whether where I need to go is right or left. I struggle with picturing things and working in 3D too though I've gotten better with practice at that.

I don't picture things in my head when I read books and don't picture what I think characters look like but I think I can visualize things in my head. I'm visual in the sense of visualizing words and am very particular about words and letters. When I think of names I think of how they look written/spelled out and I can only guess that people who choose to spell names ugly don't do that. OR maybe they do and it's just subjective.

Like with my name I don't rly mind when people spell it Kianna. But when they spell it Kiona I don't like it because I don't think the o is visually appealing there. Even if it's all pronounced the same. I also don't like to write capital E and pretty much never will and always write it lower case because I think it's ugly visually. I also don't like the lower case q. The most visually appealing letter is a z.

when you're making a meal and nobody starts to sit down until after the food is cooked so by the time everyone is settled everything is cold

 

Some idiot stole my hat at the gym yesterday, and it's a) made me mad at myself for leaving it on the side, and b) intrigued to know if they checked the size of it first because I have a massive 7 3/4 hat size, and can't imagine the likelihood that the person who stole it also had a gigantic head.

I'll probably end up seeing it on Depop/ Facebook marketplace in a few days...

I would shift this to between noon and 1:30, but yeah, agreed
