Warped Tour 2017 Predicted Lineup Tour • Page 13

I personally think she's too big for Warped at this point. She has a huge following in the tumblr / twitter "fangirl" community (for lack of a better description), and her shows have been selling very well at decently sized venues.

Last month she sold out Hammerstein in NYC (which can hold up to 3,500 depending on how they set the venue up). Pierce the Veil played there earlier this month and couldn't sell it out, and PTV is a band that is pretty widely regarded as being on the cusp of "too big for Warped."

So by this time, the lineup should pretty much be close to being finalized or is this when Lyman reaches out to bands?

I never heard of her until I saw her on the Alt Press cover. I looked into her a bit. Had no clue she was so big already. Three of her singles are certified Gold. Not bad.

Same here. I guess she was on The Voice.

Yeah, Melanie Martinez would probably make more sense for the big festival circuit. Same with Lil Dicky, as much as I'd love to see him play.

Next Show - Foals April 22nd

She played at Osheaga, if you don't know it's Canada's biggest festival and was headlined by RHCP, Radiohead and Lana Del Ray this year. She opened one of the days on the main stage and got a very good response. I think she has passed Warped levels in terms of target audience but if she wants to really connect with the scene I'm sure she would at Warped. I barely know her or her music but from what I can tell if she was do to Warped she would be one of the "bigger" acts and potentially draw a more mainstream crowd.

    but does it djent?

I could still see her playing though. Yeah, she did sell out the Hammerstein, but that was people going for her. Personally, I don't know of many people who buy a ticket to Warped for just a single artist. I'm sure they exist but it seems silly. Realistically, she probably won't play, but the fact that Alternative Press is pushing her means that I could see her in our scene somehow.

Now more speculation, what about Papa Roach? I know this was discussed last year but I think it could actually happen this year. Their singer was on on a Coldrain song in 2015 and Memphis MAy Fire just released a song with him on it, both bands being Warped veterans.

Carousel Kings signed to Victory. They played Warped back in 2015.

Kenneths got announced for Rebellion Punk Festival in the UK. It takes place August 3-6. That counts them out, at least for the 2nd half. I was expecting them to return. Kevin seemed to really push them in 2015.

Also if it goes the same as last year, we should be getting dates in a month or so?

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

I think we can expect Dance Gavin Dance.

This probably doesn't really apply to Warped since it's earlier in June but I was hoping Simple Plan would play in 2017.

I'd say Dance Gavin Dance is a lock for Monster North or South.

DGD will be one of my must see bands if they play. I haven't seen them since Warped 2011.

who do you guys think will be the hardcore band or bands playing next year? i personally think itll be counterparts and/or knocked loose.

  19. marsvoltamcr

Knocked Loose is probably the favorite to fill that role. Stick To Your Guns is also very possible.

I could see Terror returning as well. I didn't hear anything bad about their 2014 experience.

I saw Set Your Goals last night. They said they'd be back in the spring so I doubt they'd do Warped too.

Kevin shared a Creeper song on Twitter the other day and said "have been listening to this band all morning." I reckon there's a good chance they'll be on.

Our Last Night was in the Warped Snapchat story. Could see them being a Monster North/South band next year.

Moose Blood too. I was going to ask if anyone has been keeping track of the bands on their Snapchat so far.

    Newbie

My bullshit speculation which is subject to change throughout the season:

Main: AFI, Asking Alexandria, Attila, Bayside, Beartooth, The Devil Wears Prada, Enter Shikari, The Ghost Inside, Neck Deep, New Years Day, Of Mice & Men, One Ok Rock, Our Last Night, Pierce The Veil, Pvris, The Wonder Years

Monster: The Amity Affliction, Bad Omens, Being As An Ocean, Born Of Osiris, Capsize, Capture The Crown, Dance Gavin Dance, Erra, Fit For A King, I Prevail, Like Moths To Flames, Make Them Suffer, My Enemies & I, Silent Planet, Silverstein, Sirens & Sailors, Stick To Your Guns

Journey's: As It Is, Broadside, Creeper, Dead!, Get Scared, Hands Like Houses, I The Mighty, Jule Vera, Like Pacific, Lower Than Atlantis, Milestones, Modern Baseball, Moose Blood, Movements, Palisades, Seaway, The White Noise, Within Confidence

Little Stage: Bad Cop Bad Cop, Coldfront, Myka Relocate, The Ongoing Concept, Trashboat, Wolves At The Gate

Also, I should note that it's important to watch the Alt Press social media pages. It's around this time of the year that they start buttering up the images of particular bands to get them ready for Warped.

Underoath just got announced as an opener for BMTH and then they will be in UK/EU in May. Warped after that?
