People were dying before October 7th. But they were on the other side of the wall from where concerts and festivals happen and weren’t Jewish so their death and suffering doesn’t spark outrage and condemnation. There were many hostages taken before October 7th but they were taken by IDF and get to be called prisoners because of their crime of resisting a violent occupation.
Yes it’s tragic and terrible that people died on October 7th but there were events before and after. There’s a clear oppressor and oppressed here and all it takes to see which is which is to look before and after October 7th.
