Apparently the Steelers are going to take the best players available at positions of need. Riveting stuff.

A contending team using a first round pick this year to replace a star 2 years from now usually sounds like a dumb idea. But I kinda get it here. Tua’s cap number is going to skyrocket. They’re going to need cheap pieces around him.

But….they have a window NOW. And just because Worthy is fast doesn’t mean he’ll be Tyreek Hill lol

So it’s kinda like taking risk while simultaneously not “going for it” in the middle of your winning window.

IND having 19-21 first round grades, heavily skewed towards offense, was a nice little tidbit

 

I was looking up where people had Terrell Edmunds mocked leading up to the 2018 draft. I found one that had him in the 5th round. The 5th round. We took him in the first.

 

even with signing a new contract, the big cap hit years of Tua's contract are probably a few years away. Look at how Hurts' is structured, for example.

We don't need Worthy's skillset in this offense. We have that covered with Hill, Waddle, and Achane.

I can see it both ways; I kinda like the idea of leaning into that strength even more and making defenses stop Worthy ON TOP of the aforementioned players and Mostert

I feel like speed IS the McDaniel offense so it’s hard to say “we don’t need that skill set”, when Miami is probably the single best bet to maximize Worthy’s skill set

 

All of the Legette talk in here and the hype from all his visits makes me want him more haha

 

I don't think Legette's gonna be going in the first round so there should be no reason to bring him up on thursday!!!
