anybody with t-mobile been having issues with their data? my iphone keeps dipping in and out of 5g, losing service altogether periodically for seconds/minutes. this started yesterday

couldn’t get the dang taylor album to play until 3/4ths of the way through my commute this morning. harumph

 

I’m know I’m not the first/only person to get completely Galaxy Brained about this, but a couple years ago I started telling people I thought Taylor Swift’s folklore record - with all of its Fall/Winter aesthetics - had its release date pushed up to come out in the summer at the height of the George Floyd protests as a way of trying to siphon off a portion of white liberal focus/engagement with the BLM protests. In a “wouldn’t it be nice to remember the feeling of being in a Starbucks in 2009 and listening to Bon Iver or some shit, before you knew what Black Lives Matter was” type way. I was joking, but do legitimately think Taylor Swift has been positioned as a cultural balm to white Americans (there’s the song where she describes white Americana fashion and says “we never go out of style” which I’ve always found bone-chilling).

But then last night she drops the secret double album on the day Israel bombs Iran to escalate regional tension, and I’m on high fuckin’ alert, baby. People running around calling everything an op are obviously goofy, and I’m calling her an op.

He had a sign saying something about Trump and Biden working together to orchestrate a “coup,” she said, and another one alleging some kind of “Ponzi scheme.” She said he told her to get back, then doused himself with liquid, threw some fliers in the air and doused himself again before flicking a lighter and lighting himself on fire.

 

Did the NYPD get there in time to make sure the person burning alive showed them their hands?!??!???
