yeah GameStop puts a brutal amount of pressure on its employees and promises pay raises that never happen

I was told I would be in line for a $5 per hour pay raise if I stayed for 6 months. It ended up being 50 cents.

I was not a fan of my manager either. That was the most abruptly I’ve ever quit any job.

 

New Aaron West is fine

 

I tricked GameStop into giving me a $5 raise and then they fired me like 6 months later after they figured it out.

was eating smores poptarts while reading this, talk about not real food

got subway last week and it was like $14, shit's not cheap

 

I think after discussing this I realize I may have emotional reasons why I hate subway lol

it reminds me of rushing to Subway to wolf down a shitty sandwich to rush back to a job that made me miserable, and it also reminds me of feeling like a total loser my freshman year of college and going to the Student Union by myself to eat a chicken bacon ranch and watch football talk shows when I was lonely and bored

 

because I really like it. I listen to AW more regularly than The Wonder Years

 

I have similar Subway memories

 

Those are two of the lowest points of my life since leaving my parents home lol

 

Interesting. It usually takes me a few listens for lyrics to sink in, so I'm def committing to multiple listens, but I def come back to TWY more.

 

The GameStop job was right after a breakup with the longest relationship I ever had too

 

And the freshman year stuff was right after my dad went ballistic on me and my mom after leaving the military haha. So yeah

yeah Routine Maintenance took awhile for me to get into but once it hit for me IT HIT

was listening to that new AW and thought of The Paris of Nowhere and was like damn this is the same dude? weird
