This is all spot on and I totally agree. I always thought Jonny was overrated as an artist so I never thought the juice was worth the squeeze tbh whereas Bradley was worth it a little more.

With that said; I wish Nowell was permanently kicked out of Sublime if that meant he got treatment and could have survived his addiction. I saw some videos of his son performing at Coachella with Sublime and it was beautiful but sad at the same time IMO.

 

Yeah the 2.0 with fixed production made me realize that AS absolutely rules.

 

I'd take DBM2 over any Tillian album easily.

 

Mothership is kinda my clear #1 Tillian era album. I was bigger on Afterburner than most people but it hit at a good time for me.

Will always ride or die for S/T and Happiness

Jackpot Juicer is the only DGD album I'd tag as bad despite having a few solid entries, really overlong record.

 

Happiness is still my favourite iteration of the band though, I wish they'd have just stuck with Kurt.

 

Afterburner would be 3rd favorite after the Kurt albums, so you don’t stand alone!

 

The last two minutes of the title track for Acceptance Speech is a top highlight of Tilian's run IMO

 

DBM2 and Deathstar are 1A and 1B

 

Tillian is easily their worst vocalist, and a piece of shit. The fact that they welcomed back two different pieces of shit to sing for the band has soured me on the band big time.

the worst thing Jonny did leading up to dbm2 was the theft shit and I think that’s why he was kicked iirc. everything worse was after he was gone the second time.

I don't know what the name of the injection it is, but there's a shot that Jonny takes now that eliminates the effects of drugs and alcohol that Jonny has been on for the last few years. I'm pretty sure he said it was Donovan Melero who strongly urged for him to get on it. Jonny has seemingly been sober ever since. The biggest life changer for Jonny had to be his son. Hopefully it stays that way. There haven't been any reported incidents with Jonny since then.

when they first kicked Johnny out they posted a truly massive list of reasons they were kicking him out, including him sleeping with underage fans. And then a couple years later they welcomed him back. They deserve to get shit for that imo

 

yeah iirc he got in hot water for SA someone on tour with slaves and then smoked rocks around his infant. the guys been done with since.

 

After that, apparently Jonny helped Taylor get treatment and got her on the same shot he is on.

That's why I mentioned he has been incident free since getting on the shot. Before the shot, that a whole other story.

That mess with his son was probably the real life changer for him, the last incident before getting clean. He's had his son visit him a ton since then, so I am sure he has had to appease the courts with whatever they mandated from him.

Well what else should we talk about? We're making sense out of everything and admittedly, I'm aware of the parasocial element, which exists in most fandoms.

It’s probably Vivitrol I used to break through that shit all the time when I shot fentanyl but if it’s working good for him doesn’t excuse all the rape and abuse he’s done

 

It's all public knowledge, he has talked about it on his twitch and anywhere else. Jonny has been an open book on things like that. I'm just posting stuff that was probably missed on here because I know most people avoid following him.
