So I stumbled upon the ball glove king on YouTube this past week after the urge to play catch struck me pretty hard the other day. Dug my old glove out of the garage and it’s in pretty terrible shape and truthfully I always hated the way it broke in..so long story short I bought an a1000 today because I’m a fucking moron. Trying to justify it by telling myself it’ll last the rest of my life but I haven’t played even non competitive baseball in like 20 years lol

I just bought a glove last week because my son is signed up for T-ball. I just went to Dicks and got some Wilson glove I think. But yeah haven't bought a glove in like 20-25 years and have/had no idea what I'm doing lol. I gotta try and break it in/oil it up a little bit and I'm sure I"m going to do it wrong even with one of those kits so.

 

I still have the glove I played with in high school. It works for the once every 5 years I actually throw a ball around with someone lol. But I've been with y'all...every time I have a catch, I'm like, you know what I should do....I should get a new glove!

I keep telling myself that when my kids are a little older I'm going to try to find some local adult league to play in even if it's like a softball league or something. I just miss being out on a field and playing competitively

 

I absolutely loved my old glove and the last time I had used it in adulthood it still worked (like 12+ years ago lol), but unfortunately it got all mildewed up in my garage or in storage or something. Sucks. That thing came like pre-broken in somehow and was just so easy to use.

 

I bought a Rawlings softball glove last week. $30 at a secondhand shop but it was new with the tags still on

My partner found a team that needed people to fill in and we played a game yesterday. I played catcher terribly but I got a hit and skinned my knee sliding into second. Then we got an automatic out to end the inning because we had an uneven number of guys and girls

 

Rangers fellas, an interesting kind of silver lining on the pitching issues here.

Sounds like if we can get that shored up, we will be okay.

 

I vote to skip the 7th inning
