My card has been submitted. Only felt confident on a few of the matches. I really don’t know what they’ll do for the main events. Not sure they know either tbh haha but it’ll be fun.

Do you think last night when Jay White was getting squashed by Billy Gunn that he wished he signed with WWE instead

 

Do you think Trips would have treated him like a main event talent?

 

Nah, I don’t think Jay thinks the same as the internet.

Bummer to miss part of the opening tag team match.

 

I mean, it'd be about the same as him finishing 3rd in the ARMBAR or whatever throwaway spot he would have ended up in the current WWE. With such dominant champions, there's nowhere for new signees to even go. He's surely not ahead of Sami or KO to get into the midcard title matches...and dudes who were red hot like Jey or LA are doing fuck all as well.

Deeply weird how they've been using him lately, but, I also remember they screwed up Swerve pretty bad early on and find him the right niche still.

 

I think he'd have treated Jay White, Okada, and Ospreay all as legit dudes. But all 3 would have had the exact same problem...Roman/Cody is the top tier and everything gets shunted below that. When Randy, AJ, KO, Sami, LA, etc all cant even sniff around the main title...how do you even debut a guy as a big deal?

Best case for all 3 would have been getting slotted as the guy to beat Gunther

 

Yeah any big talent coming in can hope to be treated as AJ at the beginning. Otherwise you’re in that KO/Sami tier which is still fine. Top of the card is tight. Gunther is gonna be slotting into the main event scene soon I’m sure. And you have Punk when hes not tearing something.

 

Actually, jay would have been a great option for the transitional challenger for Cody...post Roman...until they were ready to do whatever big feud follows (Cody/Randy, etc). Same way AJ was the transitional challenge for Roman and then went on to feud with Cena

Beauty of that is as soon as Punk gets back he will go right back on the shelf, if he doesn’t get himself fired before that

 

Punk is going to be a non factor. Cody, Seth, Drew and Gunther are running that men’s division

 

Are we gonna live in a universe where Priest cashes in on night 2. I mean it makes too much for it not to happen during bloodline rules. Hopefully Priest eats a stunner or something

I think there’s close to a 0% chance that Jay White would have been booked worse in Triple H’s WWE than he has been in AEW.

Like, there aren’t a lot of guys in AEW you could say that about. But I don’t see any scenario where he isn’t one. It’s been dreadful.

I could maybe entertain an argument before last night, but not now.
