Really not that hard to see how the Jags “botched this” but that’s also pretty harsh language for a team that is winning more games than they lose the last two years. Missing the playoffs was a huge disappointment but let’s pump the brakes a little bit, if we get an elite WR we are right back in that playoff conversation

 

If it’s a historically good WR class (which they seem to be every year), shouldn’t there also be good ones available in the second round?

I’ve been hearing all offseason that there are plenty of good prospects available in the first few rounds

 

It’s both historically deep and historically strong at the top

being at pick 17 and being desperate for a WR. I want one of the strong guys at the top. If we signed Calvin Ridley we wouldn’t be desperate and then taking Pearsall in round 2 would be awesome.

Losing several games in a row to end the season has people being overdramatic cause of recency bias. I legitimately think the offensive and defensive coordinators got figured out and were in over their heads, and it’s not like we just don’t have talent. Replacing Caldwell with Nielsen and Doug taking the damn playsheet back from Press already addressed some of the problem before we factor in any offseason acquisitions.

I feel like lately people think if you're not contenders/champions and also not picking in the top 3 to "rebuild" you're botching things which I don't agree with

Obviously winning is the goal but it doesn't always come from out of nowhere
