This was my AOTY last year, and it kind of came out of nowhere for me, and I still listen to it regularly.

 

yea this still absolutely rips. Ohio is the greatest

 

"Colorglut" and "Song For Montana Wildhack" are probably my favorites, but there's not a track I even come close to disliking.

 

It’s still Harsh Light for me, but Montana Wildhack is probably number 2. Still in awe of how good this record ended up being

 

Wasn’t super impressed with their live show unfortunately. I think it might have mostly been a sound thing, but the set list was also really stop and go. The played Better which was nice at first, but the second half of the song was like 2x the speed lol, was very odd. It all accentuated how talented their drummer is though, especially that stuttered beat on Nocturnalia (which they weirdly closed with?)

I’d be willing to see them again, maybe on a headliner though. It felt like my wife and I were the only people even remotely familiar with them, which couldn’t have helped the vibe

So weird... hadn't listened to these guys in months and came back to them today and dove in hard again. Their last record is one of my favorite albums in the last decade.

This new song is fantastic.

Also dam happy two years to this amazing record

 

Yeah the new song is amazing, just like New Preoccupations is amazing.
