Weird that the Jets are doing this when they could have just kept Huff. Funny how that all played out

Yeah, it's not really a big deal for the Eagles, it's kinda weird for the Jets. Like, whatever it's a conditional 3rd when the sun explodes so who cares but why didn't you just pay Huff instead of paying someone and trading draft capital

 

Very odd move for the Jets, especially because they just spent a first on McDonald and now they’re very likely going to give Reddick and extension so he and Johnson are going to be their primary edge rushers now moving forward while McDonald is more of a rotational player

 

Huff was a rotational player for the Jets

I don’t think he was ever going to re-sign mainly because of that. He wanted more snaps and he sucked ass against the run.

John Franklin-Myers and Jermaine Johnson will start at DE but both rotate a lot already.

WMD and Reddick are the passing down ends now. Johnson will probably kick inside to DT some.

 

Honestly surprised that the Eagles were able to coup a Day 2 pick for a guy on an expiring deal that everyone knew they had to trade for cap reasons... I thought he would get moved for a random fifth or sixth-rounder on Day 3.

 

We’ll see if a new deal gets worked out but it sounds like Douglas is banking on getting a comp pick if/when Reddick leaves

 

I thought that was a good move by the Jets, if they lose him theyll get a comp pick regardless

 

and they weren’t getting a comp pick for Huff
