There is definitely a possibility that he comes back later when they are on a different location for a flashback sequence but I am definitely not doubting that his main filming is done.

I'm assuming -- from what I remember of the game -- that'd be in Season 3.

 

I'm almost done with the game for the 3rd time and it's still just as good as ever. Doing the PS5 remaster and starting Abby day 3.

Thoughts on the show (just random stream of thoughts while fresh) - spoilers (though all are vague) inbound....

- So many impactful moments revolve around the spores in this one that it will be interesting to see how they are replaced. (Ellie / Dina reveal and Abby risking so much for Lev by going ahead and finding him a mask).
- It's really quite grim, I wonder if they will stick to all of it or lighten anything up. Some scenes will be absolutely horrific to watch on screen - Yara's introduction especially is brutal.
- Is there any casting news on Lev and Yara? It looks like no, so it's implying that we may follow a similar structure to the game.
- Will we get the skybridge? Definitely in the top 3 moments of the game for me, but I have no idea how far the budget will go and if its feasible that we'll get that scene.
- We are 100% are going to get Katherine O'Hara as the prophet and if we don't and she's someone else, I'm going to be disappointed now. I honestly could see that being episode 3 just like Bill and Frank in season 1 and it setting the scene for Ellie's arrival in episode 4.
- I don't know how true this is, and I can't find the video now, but I saw something about how some Naught Dog people admitted to the story being a bit contrived so I expect some changes to be made to early game events to appease those that have made that argument. I disagree, and think that nearly every piece of media can be considered contrived and it's normally a weak criticism but whatever. I won't speculate or pre-emptively worry about any changes like that and I'll take what we get and consider it then. I had no issues with how everything went down in Jackson in the game.

 

I believe they have said that they intend to include the spores in season 2. I get why they omitted it in season 1 since they didn't have many stealth like sequences with the infected other than the museum.

 

I want this now but I know the wait will fly by just like this whole year has lol

Looks like Ellie might be in the supermarket from the very beginning of the game.

 

I wonder if they'll reduce the time jump. Bella still looks super young

 

I would be surprised if this doesn’t have the exact same story structure as the game.

 

Yah I wasn't sure at first but based off the set photos it seems like it is. Especially with them not annoucning Lev or Yara castings yet.

 

I wonder if they would consider moving Santa Barbara to a season 4, just to give more time for Part 3 to release. I doubt it, but I feel like it could be fleshed out to where it makes sense.

 

This guy is credible with info on movie and tv productions. He's not really leaking stuff anymore but shares tidbits here and there.

 

That's what I was thinking too. It's not a major detail, but a smaller time jump wouldn't hurt the story and it would line up more with how young Bella looks. That's if they even mention a time jump at all in the show.

 

Phew, that's a relieve. Idk if I could withstand a season dedicated to Abby and her POV

Wonder if they would do everything up to the Farm in season 2, then the Farm and Santa Barbara as season 3. Honestly the layout of the seasons is one of the things I’m most intrigued about. Especially since season 1 was relatively easy to predict what each episode would consist of.

 

With how things are playing with the casting, I could see them ending with the theater stand off as the last episode. But that seems like a lot to fit into 7 epsiodes.

Will be interesting to see what they do. I'm not sure if there is enough of the farm and Santa Barbara for a whole season but who knows.

 

Man, I know that I need to replay this game because I don't really remember that character at all

I’m actually just starting my first ever replay right now. It was pretty close to four years ago when this game came out. I remember it vividly with the summer of the pandemic. About to be at THAT part

 

Looks so good at 60 fps glad I waited. Also was cool I could import my PS4 save file from the main menu so I’m doing new game plus

 

With Jeffrey Wright filming now, I hoping to get a look at Kaitlyn Dever on set soon. Will be interesting to see if/how much they had her bulk up.
