September is late summer. I always saw early to mid September as the final weeks of Summer blockbuster movie season.

 

just posted this in the genpol thread and came to post it here. One of the many reasons I hate eveything being digital/streaming now

 

If scrubs has dubbed over Colin Hay singing Overkill that would be very funny but its time to put streaming in the bin

 

This is so comically stupid that it just makes me laugh, lol. Like, maybe they’re playing 4D chess and trying to celebrate Pride by having an idea so dumb it’s camp…

 

The music rights issue existed with physical media too. Contracts that gave rights for the initial television releases did not always cover the DVD release and music was either changed or sometimes the entire thing could not be released.

Physical media is not a real solution to the problems of streaming and digital. The better alternative is to hold companies accountable for better streaming.

 

Yeah if I remember right, part of the reason they didn’t put the original Wonder Years out in dvd/Blu-ray is because they couldn’t use a lot of the original music.

 

Just imagine the shows were are missing from streaming because of music rights stuff. Homicide Life on the Streets, Northern Exposure, Adventures of Pete & Pete.

 

Terrible music biopic update: so apparently we are getting a theatrical Michael Jackson biopic from Lionsgate next year where Colmon Domingo is playing Joe Jackson

 

If they don't have something available on streaming and in an appropriate setting, you can just torrent it. A VPN is a lot cheaper than filling your apartment with physical media.

I use a VPN to read comics. It’s way cheaper than buying all those comics.

 

I used to torrent everything on the wifi at my pool but I guess they got a warning letter and they blamed it on the college kids.
