Yeah the Kenobi show looked like ass

 

I think like most things in filmmaking it’s a tool that can be great and helpful that was used overzealously and will kinda come back down to earth

It was used very effectively in The Batman.

 

Hmm is it only bad in Star Wars shows ???

 

Star Wars has literally decided to do shows based on the volume so they def have the most time in there thus the most overexposure.

Looks great. Hope this inspires more people to check out the High Republic stuff as it’s top tier Star Wars storytelling.

 

Best sources for High Republic tales?

 

Light of the Jedi is the first High Republic novel and sets the stage really well for the whole initiative. Vernestra Rwoh is a Jedi that’s confirmed to be in the show and she’s been one of the main characters of the young adult/middle grade books starting with A Test of Courage. Comics have also been really good starting from High Republic #1 in 2021.

All of the books & comics are telling one overarching story of the Jedi vs the Nihil and each medium focuses on different characters/aspects of the story so starting from the beginning is the way to go and you can decide how deep you want to go. The adult novels have all of the major plot points for the overall story.

 

Everyone I know is stoked on this show. I don’t get it

People like to hate Star Wars.

 

I am sure I know someone, but off hand, I can’t think of one person I know who likes every Star Wars movie and thinks they’re all good.

 

In fairness, thinking they’re all good is probably a good reason to seek medical help

 

Am I going insane/blind or has every episode of Bad Batch this season had extended sequences in near total darkness? I also experience it on my phone. I feel like I’ve only seen like half of the actual episodes. This is an action sequence. I guess?

 

I enjoy & have things I love about all of them, but also recognize there are things that aren’t great or should have been done better in some of them. ‍♂️

 

I feel like there are some people that will hate Disney Star Wars no matter what it is.

 

I'm finally catching up on Bad Batch, how are there 8 episodes out already??

 

It’s been back for 6 weeks and it premiered with 3 episodes.

 

That scene was in the dark but I didn't have any issues seeing what was going on. That picture's a little hard to see but I can't make out anything in it other that the dagger thing
