I like that this showing a part of the timeline we have never seen in live action before, and I am interested in the possible lore it's going to build upon.

What the Sith were up to pre-Palpatine hasn't been kind of a mystery in canon for awhile, so they got some cool stuff to explore.

It’s a a circular soundstage surrounded by LED screens that display the background scenery and VFX, so they use that instead of a green screen. Shows like the Mandolorian and House of the Dragon have used it.

 

Also, as the person in that tweet pointed out, even Spielberg used it on The Fabelmans (although admittedly I have no idea what part of the movie)

but it’s mostly looked not very good since season 1 of Mando, IMO
