It's so interesting, because Joe posted about the album AND the tour on his instagram stories. Could obviously just be helping promote, but is he trying to tell us something?!?!? ALSO, hellogoodybe being on a week of the tour, what if he plays double duty??? A man can dream

where would i be if i was my brain Prestigious

Almost every HGB show I've seen recently gets promoted closer to the date as a solo show. If Joe comes out west and does both sets I would be really happy.

Joe is their manager and not playing any shows, I can promise you that.

At least he’s still around as their manager. I think that it’s cool he’s at least still involved

  8. Album is very much in the vein of Imbue and In Currents.

Really love both singles, but this new one is especially solid. Still hear some Lilac production, but the tones are so IC/Imbue, plus some fresh effect choices. Can't wait

They did mention in the press release about not being asked or sometimes offers falling through. I have to believe that WWWY fest at least gave them an offer and maybe it just didn't work out for whatever reason? There are AT LEAST 3-4 bands the past 2 years that did not deserve a place on that line up over TEN.

I create content for some of your favorite artists

does Joe record with them just not touring anymore? or at least I thought that was the case for the past couple records. Wonder if not being on things like WWWY has to do with the need for it to be the OG lineup more than Ace, sometimes Jeff and hired hands

who knows. band always should have been bigger. solid discography

This sounds absolutely huge. I don't feel like I gave their last record enough of a shot but it felt like quite a departure.

Lilac is certainly a departure but once I dug into the lyrics it really hit me.

twenty is a weird compilation album but I still really enjoy it for what it is. I just don’t particularly love how ace mixes his own voice.

WWWY booked “fenix tx” and it was a hired gun in place of the lead singer. I don’t think they’d care about Sergio and Joe not being on stage.

Hopefully they get some good bookings this album cycle!

As far as I know the band is just Ace and Jeff. Joe manages, Serg and Bill are not involved. They have friends fill in live.

nailed it, plus all the promos since twenty have just been ace and yung jeff

I forgot about Twenty. It was decent but felt like an odds and ends record with some very strong songs. I'll give Lilac another shot.

that's all it was, a compilation of old songs re-recorded, make it happen is for all of this era and five years was a bonus track from the mother

there were some new songs on it though but yah it wasn't really an 'album'
