I haven't quite yet, but reading in the other thread that someone was reminded of Sing the Sorrow.... hopes are already sky high

Interested to hear this. Burials was okay. I haven't loved anything by them since StS.

I'm mostly with you, I liked decemberunderground a fair amount but thought Crash Love and Burials both sucked. STS by mile and miles for me

January 20th is too far away, and I dont like the song title "Dumb Kids" but that aside, HYPED.

Crash Love? I have no idea what that is. I am pretty sure they went from DU straight to Burials, which I like a little bit.

I enjoyed decemberunderground when it came out, but it hasn't aged well at all.

Crash Love was so bad. I saw them live after that album came out, and I've never been so disappointed in a band live like I was watching them.

I saw AFI in 2004 with Coheed & Cambria is this big abandoned warehouse and it was an extremely memorable experience, for me that is the peak of what this band is/was and I would be surprised if they surpass it

Oh shit.... both these songs totally call back to STS stylistically, wow. I'm pretty fucking surprised honestly, not sure they had this in them anymore.

Curious to see the reaction to these songs, for me I am back on the hype train

This is when I saw them open for Green Day, and Davey was doing some weird shit with his voice at some points. Really killed my liking for this band.

The reception to these two new songs is exciting to hear though.

Last time I saw them was September 30th 2003. With Bleeding Through, and Hot Water Music. It was fucking amazing.

    No Fun. Not Ever.

I'm touching myself to that cover tonight. Also love the fact that it might be self titled.

I can also honestly say that I enjoyed more songs off of Crash Love than Burials.

  21. I would have preferred just "The Blood Album" instead of self titled but I'm splitting hairs. I can't wait to hear this.

It's up for preorder on iTunes now. You get the two singles with it

    Cool songs.

Also I like every single album of theirs (Very Proud of Ya probably my least fav but eh) but putting DU over CL or Burials just seems off. Like I'll say that CL is a bit more boring, but DU is kind of a mess when talking about full albums. CL is much more put together, and Burials def over those two.
