Oppenheimer was a lot to take in. But I’m pretty sure Nolan isn’t satisfied until you’ve gone deaf.

 

we are in a regal household so it’s always RPX room for me

 

I had to sit in the front row for The Northman, my neck was fucked for two days after that. Such a great movie.

 

Sat front row during La La Land once and almost threw up during the number where they were in the pool. Never again.

 

I just did fourth row IMAX for Dune 2 against my will. Someone else got the tickets. Never sitting in that lower section again.

The only film I thought was unbearably loud in Dolby was Godzilla: King of the Monsters. There were moments in that film I held my palms over my ears just to dampen the sound.

 

monsters are probably loud as fuck, so makes sense.

 

Haven’t been to a movie theater in a minute but I had to start wearing ear plugs.

My mom said she saw A New Hope when it first came out and her date picked her up late so the only seats left were front row center and when they went into lightspeed she almost threw up

 

I was covering my ears for parts of Poor Things. I know It want to be obnoxious but I dont remeber which parts which means it was completely unnecessary to be that loud.
