I'm in Raleigh, NC. I'd say it's a mid-sized city, about 500k people in a metro area of about 1.5MM

It definitely felt smaller when I first moved here, but I was coming from Chicago so that was to be expected.

But it's nice being able to do a quick weekend trip to either the ocean or the mountains.

Pittsburgh is a good city in my unbiased opinion.

I stopped in Pittsburgh once driving from St. Louis to Philly because I needed weed and the only dispensary was way out of the way in Pittsburgh. looked sick. it was snowing too so it was nice and pretty outside

I keep telling my sister to take her kids to St Louis because it’s got a lot of cool things for kids to do and it’s not a very far drive. Her husband won’t let them though because he’s too scared.

see that’s ridiculous lol a lot of the cool stuff for kids are either in the suburbs (six flags, the magic house) or in perfectly safe areas (the zoo, the science center, the city museum). Most of the crime is up north or in pockets of the south side

A little smaller than mid size but I’ve enjoyed Providence Rhode Island every time I’ve been. Newport basically counts too it’s right down the road. That’s where my gf grew up (Fall River more specifically) and her mom currently lives in Newport so I’ve been a ton. Always a good time. Could see myself living up there someday too which may be reality within a few years

Oh rad. I went to Wake a lifetime ago and would go to concerts in Greensboro nearly every week. We have a bunch of friends who stuck around. I love it there.

Idk about other states but my fiance has NH medicaid and it's incredible and way better than my private insurance. She even got them to cover going to this really fancy gym with a pool and everything. Very happy for her that she can get such great coverage.
