    this is all there is

I had already heard the singles and Futures a handful of times first, but I have a very specific memory of borrowing my mom's car to go on a date with a high school girlfriend, listening to Bleed American on the drive home, and somewhere during the bridge of Cautioners deciding that they were my favorite band ever, no question.

In a desert island scenario, I'd still take Clarity or Futures, but Bleed American is perfect.

Tbf how many other bands can legit claim to have released three 10/10 albums in a row, with them all sounding pretty different?

tbh, Stay on My Side and Chase this Light are way up there too.

Put on futures this morning and this band is too perfect. Love an album like this where it's so lived in for me I can listen to it again for the first time in years and sing it all by heart

My bf is a casual fan and will be seeing them live for the first time when they open for FOB and I'm kinda sad his first won't be a smaller headlining show because I feel like he won't get the whole experience but obv it'll still be a blast

But I haven't see them headline in a minute. It's been co-headliners the last few times. Which is fun but none of those shows felt quite the same as a JEW show where everyone was there for them and I miss that experience!

    Fight the long defeat.

I'm hoping to catch them headlining one day soon. I saw them for the first time this past summer with Manchester, which of course was a terrific show by both, but I'd love to get the full experience from Jimmy. Contemplating going to the tour with FOB, though, especially since that would be my first time seeing them as well, after so many years listening.

I did not need to be called out this aggressively this afternoon!

Oh that’s pretty. But with Something Corporate tickets probably going on sale soon, I’m going to have to hold off for now. My signed ten year pressing will have to do for now!

Maybe after the tour with FOB there will be a joint Clarity 25 yr/Futures 20 yr tour?! That's my dream anyway

Not sure I can go for the Phoenix Sessions vinyl right now, but love that they pressed it. That version of Goodbye Sky Harbor is so sick.

I would guess Wednesday for SoCo. It shouldn’t be any sooner than that.

Im in camp wilderness too, and I know they are getting an early sale. I’ve had good luck with those presales so far- hoping that continues!

Did "Hear You Me" get some sort of absurd streaming bump in the last 10 years I'm not aware of? I saw Jimmy Eat World 5 times on the BA tour (granted 3 out of those 5 were festival sets but still) and never heard that song ONCE. Yet it's been a setlist staple for over a decade. Not complaining as it's a great song but at this point I'd swap it to hear "Your House" or "Cautioners".

I feel like the nostalgia boom bumped up A Cinderlla Story and One Tree Hill and stuff like that and it's featured in both as well as a few other things in the 00s I believe. Those things also conflate is as a love song a lot so now people treat it like a love ballad. I remember when I saw thrm for Damage a couple who decided they were the main characters slow danced to it in the crowd.

Interesting. I thought it was a song about death and the lyrics VERY clearly make it so. Odd that people hear it as a love song.

EDIT: Genius tells me it's about Mykel and Carli (same two that the Weezer song is about). Tracks.

Lol yeah I don't think people play that close attention. Glad they enjoy a good song tho!

15 songs as the second from headliner is AWESOME. So glad FOB is giving them time to cook on this tour.
