    Things have changed.

    Did Brad get milkshake ducked?

swap the top three lines and 6/22 is stacked top to bottom for me. love this for pittsburgh.

  4. I've been milkshake ducked, I guess. I'm not aware of any Keep Flying personal hijinks... My band played 2 shows with them, and they've been cool to us. But yeah, other than that... shrug emoji!

JJR plays Saxaphone for them and tried to cover up SA by Harry Corrigan of No Pressure/No Good News. He was fired as tour manager of TWY following everything that happened. He resurfaced working with FYS and then started Keep Flying. Dudes a POS.

  7. ooooh... well shit

  8. I continue to be surprised at how big AAR is and who they can headline over. Great band, but I wouldn't have guessed they would be billed above NFG last summer and SoCo on that fest.

Re: Keep Flying/JJR. They have so successfully presented the image of guys that are cool to everyone and are very well connected and offer lots of opportunities to people that work with them. It's so frustrating. I know plenty of people who know what he did/covered up and still work with him because of those industry connections.

  9. AAR kind of floated over into the mainstream pop categories more than their peers

gotta be the radio hits. even 15 years later songs like "move along" gets played everywhere, are on all the throwback spotify lists, etc.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

I’d argue AAR had more radio hits than a lot of their peers. Even though AAR isn’t really active anymore, they have that keeping them afloat

I think the biggest difference between All-American Rejects and, say, New Found Glory is the format the songs were hits on and how high up the charts they went. All-American Rejects had four singles in a row crack top 10 pop airplay charts between 2005-2008. And 3/4 of those singles in the top 10 of the Hot 100.

In contrast, NFG did pretty well on MTV and alt-rock radio but didn't really crack the pop charts. Still did really well for themselves but that pop/mainstream success is gonna give you a bit of an edge in terms of draw, I guess.

But I'm a bit surprised that they were able to disappear and come back. Because it's not like they're a name that's on the tip of everyone's tongues regularly or anything like that. Kinda interesting.

Not defending JJR or Keep Flying but I just gotta ask— if the hate for him stems from him defending Harry Corrigan — why hasn’t anyone here said a word against TSSF being a sub headliner here when Parker Cannon literally started a second band with Harry after his allegations were well known???

The same reason people don’t criticize Koyo for being good pals with Regulate which Harry is in and the same reason people still like ADTR despite their gross defense of Josh. People tend to ignore associations when it comes to bands they enjoy. It’s sad, but unfortunately true. I’ve definitely fallen off listening to TSSF since No Pressure formed and Koyo would totally be my shit if they weren’t so tight with Harry. Hard to ignore that stuff and not feel gross supporting the bands.

I feel like there’s been lots of talk condemning TSSF/No Pressure for those things over the years on here? People only said something about KF here because Brad said he was friends with them.

Also, not that befriending an abuser in any form is in any way cool or acceptable, but the JJR thing goes beyond friendship. He played an active role in trying to cover up the situation and slandering the victim

  21. “Friends” is a very loose term in this case, just to be clear. I've played 2 shows with them and have only ever had a conversation with their bassist and drummer.

Handful of women on LI also think JJR is scummy. Cheating, not disclosing STDs

Oh no, I get it. And you made it very clear you weren’t aware of the situation, no harm done
