one of the dumber niche online things I have come across recently: So a USMC fighter pilot recently shot down 7 Houthi drones, and now there is all this debate among military nerds online of if he should be counted as the first American fighter ace since the Vietnam War or not. An ace is at least 5 air to air career kills, but people are split on if drones should count.

 

Hmmm. Idk, I guess I can see the argument for it counting. It's not a "kill" of a pilot but you're still shooting down an enemy flying weapon of war?
