Oh my god. Just. This shit is exhausting. Somewhere around a minute and a half there he even says that Covid was a “rerun” of “the AIDS chapter” while Joe Rogan sits there nodding his stupid neckless head like “YEAH WOAH DOOD DUZ TAHT SOWN FUHMEELYER?!?”

Apart from his platforming of terrible people I just feel like his format is so fucking LONG. Like even back when all he was doing was talking to Tom Delonge about aliens I was like ‘I’m not giving this guy 3 hours of my life’ lmao

 

lmao...though TBF if black representatives are starting this and doing this on their own and think it's a way to reach their constituents, then hey, that's their decision. But yeah the optics of "Dems" doing this look so dumb lol

 

So we got sent home from jury duty because the accused entered a plea deal. The judge informed us the case was about sexual battery of a child and the plea happened because we as a jury existed. Apparently the plea was very close to what they would have received regardless.

I'm of mixed feelings about the whole thing. I wouldn’t have been "impartial" by any means, whatever that means in this scenario.

I'm admittedly glad I was spared more reminders that the world is a fucked up place, but at the same time, fuck. Whoever it is should burn, fuck a plea deal.

 

In retrospect, I kind of wish they hadn't told us what the case was. I don't know what I'm supposed to do with that information now.

 

I was almost on a jury in 22 i think. fuck i can't remember time. the accused had 40 SA-related charges. took 4long-ass days to find a jury and they picked the last juror right before it would have been me answering questions about my eligibility.

Yeah that's incredibly bizarre they shared that information with you. Sounds like the judge likewise didn't know what to do with that information and just wanted to unburden themself of it.

 

Yeah at the end of the day I don't think anyone can be "impartial" about something like that. Eventually they DA and the defense attorney are just gonna try and pick the candidates for a jury that will advantage their side the most.

 

I’ve been called 4 times. Only served once. It’s all been a huge waste of time.

 

Also they told us what the case was when we got up in the judges chambers I think the one time I had jury duty. It was a drunk driving case and I got dismissed after they questioned me because I both knew someone who got arrested for drunk driving and also knew someone that worked for the DA's office lol
