I can't bring myself to even listen to it. Even if it was "good" I think at this point I've heard/seen too much bullshit from him to even begin to try to separate art from artist.

 

It's fine. Almost everyone on this site and posting in this thread would have needed a MBDTF 2.0 to think of anything else.

The raps were always gonna be criticized too heavily for where he is at as a public figure.

 

Ronald McDonald's meltdown about this album on Twitter makes me almost want to like it.

Critically speaking, this is getting raked over the coals even more so than Donda or JIK. Of course, some of that has to be the antisemitism (and he deserves it), but yeah, considering how many people seem to be listening, I think only superfan apologists are actually vibing with it. I've heard like two songs I might come back to if he wasn't a horrible shitbird

 

My non-Kanye related compliment would be that the beat on the Havoc version of "Vultures" is awesome. Need an instrumental of that. Love a beat that sounds like something out of an old Scooby Doo episode

 

Halfway through the album and honestly not even artistically do I think there is anything worth caring about here. Production is fine, but far from interesting or exciting. Kanye's lyrics are truly horrible and his voice is even worse. Even Ty sounds pretty cooked on here, and he usually is pretty smooth, feels like he doesn't really care when he's on a track.

 

Liking an antisemite's mid ass music to spite him of all people is certainly a take but go off I guess

 

Ronald McDonald is a dork but his thoughts in his “unreviewable” video on this album is one of the occasional times he’s right

 

we're definitely living in a simulation if he's calling someone who got fired for being inappropriate with minors his brother

 

That guy is his whole own case study. He pretty successfully filled a hole left behind in R&B by you-know-who and then somehow decided to tarnish his own career too by doing this shit lol

The main thing I got from that article is that Anderson Paak still fucks with Kanye and that's disappointing

 

That was a little joke, voila. Anything that makes him squirm gets a chuckle out of me.

 

Ronald McDonald may or may not be right about the quality of the album, don't care enough to go back and listen for myself, but everything he's saying about Kanye in those videos is spot-on.

 

Unrelated to the album, but him actually dropping all the clothing prices on his website to $20 is crazy.
