Honestly, yeah it makes no sense but that press conference has me hyped for Mania. I think they pivoted perfectly. Rock willing to side with Roman on night 1 or in Perth because he wants to defend his family. But then Roman does some dastardly heel shit that rock feels is embarrassing the family. Leads to rock/roman down the road. Maybe rock leaves Roman high and dry. All the cussing, perfect. HHH going by Paul now. Punk doing his schtick. Wrestlemania back on the table boys!

Also I know we give Rock shit for not being able to go with Cena but that was when he was filming that Hercules movie and was literally twice the size he is now. He has 58 days to put in conditioning. Should be easier at his current size even with his age. He looked to be in the best shape of his life. And yes I know he’s been getting gassed on the promos.

Either way I’m All In (tm).

I like how the Rock is using his power since he on the board of directors, a lot of little cool nuances. Seth telling Rock you can’t do whatever you want is bullshit was pretty great.

Yeah putting Cody in the main event was the only way to stop the crowd from booing and chanting we want Cody throughout both nights (assuming lol)

I’ll give WWE one thing… after being down on the product after the SD disaster ending last week, they’ve got me back on board nearly straight away. Fair play.

yeah the more i think about it the more i'm not sure there are four better suited dudes to pull last night off. Seth never got there for me with promos, so i'm loving him in this looser environment with more of himself coming out. it has made me un-sick of him.

Idk how much tickets are for other AEW shows but in my section they were $100+ per ticket after fees. Oh well, the seats are fantastic and it’s worth it

Yeah, the notion that the pre-sale sold out in 12 minutes is a bold faced lie. I was watching it closely. The main stretch, TV side (Loges 21, 1, 2, 3) were mostly gone in the first ten minutes, but tons of them re-appeared around 10:15 when people's carts expired.

Only the floor went super quick.

It is sold out now, save for the few ridiculously priced platinum seats that are marked "standard", weirdly.

The Garden looked great for them for Blood & Guts and I expect the same here. I still may take the trip down once they open up the hard cam side.

Regardless, it seems to be selling very well. I hate how everyone gets all up in arms over ticket sales, ratings, etc. It’s made the IWC insufferable lol

they've really conditioned their more frequented markets to wait for price drops. i didn't even have a hard time getting a good view to Grand Slam for 30 bucks last year

Eh. I think AEW's awful houses have been a big notable story, the same way they were for WWE pre-pandemic. Ratings are a little more nuanced.

They actually didn't overprice this one, by the looks. $120 or so for floor, $105/$90/$80 for lower bowl. That's right in line with where they should be. But, they've also under served the Boston market pretty significantly. Both things probably aided in the day one pre-sale sell out (in addition to Mone, of course.)

But your larger point stands - it's been a hallmark issue of their attendance woes. Hopefully that new hire helps them out before they officially kill the territory in Chicago and Garland, Texas of all places.

I get that it’s a notable story, but it’s also beating a dead horse at some point. They just hired someone new to work on the live events so let’s give it some time instead of hyper focusing on negatives all of the time.

Also, this event is not selling poorly so it’s still a little weird to see people say “they didn’t sell out instantly, what a bunch of liars” Like it doesn’t matter that much and event is obviously doing fine lol
