School is a scam to get kids used to a long day of work and be ready for corporate America

 

I remember we had the option of getting an uncrustable if we forgot our lunch or lunch money but that’s it.

 

I'd forget my lunch every day if there was an uncrustable in it for me

 

Uncrustables are great holdover snacks

 

The fact that I had to look up what you all meant by Uncrustables makes me feel unbearably old.

 

Sounds like y'all had shitty teachers who didn't instill a curiosity about the world and art. Couldn't be me.

 

My high school had such great art programs, I loved it. Even had a graphic design class with Macs, Photoshop, and computer scanners attached. Then went to a college intro art class and had a field trip to the Boston museum of fine arts. But every student there was just screwing around and complaining they had to be there so I didn't get to truly enjoy my time there and I was really pissed about it.

I had a band teacher who told my dad he didn’t understand why any of us cared about band because “we’d never remember it anyway” and then actively tried to persuade me not to peruse music. Joke’s on that asshole

 

I didn't know Uncrustables were so relevant to a proper education. Clearly the system has failed me.

 

Not so much an unpopular opinion, but an unpopular truth: within the next decade there is going to be a Colonel Sanders biopic. You know with how "brand origin movies" are now that shit is just an inevitably.

It would technically be a Wendy's origin story too since Dave Thomas was Sanders' protege, and the concept for Colonel Sanders to be a character in KFC ads was Dave Thomas' idea so he we need be included too.

 

They already did McDonald's so probably.

 

If they do it in the style of the Weird Al movie I'm in

My high school started at like 7:30am, and those of us who took the bus had to get up at 6-6:30 am every day. My principal said "it is to prepare you for the type of work schedule you might have when you enter the workforce". I did horribly in school mainly because I was so fucking tired most of the time.

 

Oppenheimer was fine but massively overblown in its quality.

 

I agree. It was a good movie, but overhyped.
