I know Sony will never port some of their titles to Xbox but if we could at least meet in the middle and get some of the exclusives on Steam sooner than 3 years later

Oh yeah. Those mfs have crunched every number humanly possible and this is the way forward for them as its going to make them a loooooot of money but it also stinks for people very invested into the Xbox ecosystem. I don't think I'll keep my Series X very long. I primarily use game pass on my PC and we already have a Series S in the house too

 

That console was doomed the second it didn’t ship with halo and then infinite being “only” competent was the final nail in the coffin.

 

I bought my Series S when it was released for when the pipeline of exclusives dropped. I rarely use it except for when big games drop and I’ll subscribe for the month. Most likely will still do that in the future tbh.

 

Just a reminder that Satya Nadella removed Game Pass growth as a metric to base his bonuses on so they knew for a long time.

 

I don’t believe for a second this was the plan from the onset of the Bethesda acquisition. The ABK acquisition and investment and the legal hurdles almost certainly played a huge role in their change of direction

 

It’s not that complicated.

PS5 is outselling the Series consoles 4:1. They just spent 69 billion on Activision.

the best way to make that back is to release games everywhere.

It’s closer to 3.5:1 but after today’s news … I don’t even know.

 

Guess I just never realized. I always figured it was closer to like 1.5:1 or something along those lines for PS5:Xbox Series (outside Japan).

I don’t think legal hurdles had anything to do with this. The sales were approved. There’s nothing else they had to do. It’s easy money for them to make by putting it elsewhere

 

I feel like most gamers forget Microsoft doesn’t even need games. They make enough money selling E5 licenses to businesses. Not saying Xbox will disappear, just that they really don’t need it to survive.
