That closing segment last night and the subsequent fallout is wild. So many talking points, so many parallels to be drawn. It’s just a total mess.

I’m not even that perturbed about them doing Rock/Reigns, it’s just that they took pretty much the worst possible path to get there. Like, I’ve heard fans come up with some pretty bad and damaging fantasy booking shit and this is somehow worse.

Cody looks like a fool. Seth looks desperate. The World title looks awful. The Rock looks like a massive heel/prick. It’s all terrible.

I was curious as to whether or not this would wind up being isolated to the Internet crowd or if the discontent would make its way into actual live crowds.

The Rock was booed loudly at a house show in Kentucky when they showed last night’s segment on the screen tonight.

There’s gonna be palpable backlash and they may have legitimately ruined what should be a huge deal in Rock/Roman.

Hopefully this means Okada signs with anyone but WWE. Unless he just wants money and doesn’t care how he’s presented or what happens to him (Nakamura) then fine, sign away, but this whole fiasco shows that in a lot of ways nothing will ever change with WWE no matter who is attached to the product or making the calls.

You think Rock would insist on not only being in the match, but also winning… and then eat a pin to Priest (of all people) post-match?

The whole thing is pretty fried. Even if Cody/Reigns was still on the card I don’t agree with the Gunther/Rollins match so many apparently want, unless Gunther drops his belt before then - someone going over Gunther for the IC title at Mania is a potentially great build position with how they’ve booked Gunther thus far, then frees him up to feud with winner of the WHC match.

Elim Chamber would have been a great way to find Rollins’ WM opponent, Knight and Orton and McIntyre (and plenty others) have exactly zero trajectory right now… what a disaster hahaha. Give me uhhh Knight/Rock or something for the promos ALONE over what we’ve got, geez.

Why in the fuck would they not go with Cody/Reigns and have saved Rock to be a surprise / somewhat teased run-in to stop Solo/Bloodline shenanigans (FINALLY), Cody pins clean for the win but Roman blames Rock for the loss, setting up Rock/Reigns for Summerslam?!

At least we have Bayley’s arc and Owens probably getting the US title off Logan at WM… but yikes.

I think the wwe thought Cody vs punk was going to make people less mad about Roman v rock...but punks hurt so now Cody not challenging Roman doesn't make even .00001% a lick of fucking sense

The woman's and men's rumble winners didn't want to be in the main event this year apparently (i know Bayley storyline makes sense so its fine but Rhea is obviously the top dog)

I was looking at the projects Rock's Seven Bucks Productions has in development and I see "untitled WCW documentary series from Vice Studios" that must be the secret project with The Rock the DSTOR dudes teased they were working on

I can’t help but think of Mania 9 when Hogan inserted hisself into the world title match after Brett lost to Yokozuna.

What’s so hard about Cody/Roman in Perth. Pretaped segments of the Solo and Jimmy laid out backstage. True one on one match between Cody and Roman. Roman gets to actually wrestle but comes up short to Cody. Rock takes responsibility for the attacks on Smackdown. Boom, Rock/Roman at mania no title. Cody moves on. Works for everyone. Rock doesn’t even have to go to Australia

I’m a huge fan of dinosaurs so seeing that t-Rex (maybe) skull on that shelf is pretty cool. Weird thought that immediately comes to mind though is the giant t-Rex skull (maybe) that was in the WWE office shown with Vince (think it was in his office) during the MitB 2020 PPV when they had it take place in the building (which everything associated with Vince now seems super gross, especially currently with everything being so new).

Curious that Vince and Trips would both like dinosaurs so much they both happen to have Dino skulls around so I’d like to think at least the skull that Trips has was given as a gift or a weird “congrats on the new job” gift at some point. Instead of a pen or a mug maybe WWE gave out dinosaur skulls to new hires / promotions lol
