I think Derrick is a shoe-in for 40. At least he BETTER be. He's always been the scrappy little tasmanian devil and it's fun watching him dominate people who are so much bigger than him. I know we've posted our top challengers and he's my #3 behind Bananas and Wes in terms of overall gameplay.....but if we were going purely by physicality Derrick would be #1 easily.

 

Holy hell did I not like last night's results for the daily or elimination. Total shocker of an episode in atleast 3 different ways.

 

Yeah forreal. Olivia is a fuckin snake lol, I see why her and Nurys aren't friends anymore outside of the house.

 

Just watched the episode, Olivia is dead to me. That’s all I got. Team Nurys.

 

Team Nurys all the fucking way. Prior to the season I had heard about the drama of them not being friends and I thought it was all about the Horacio stuff. But after this episode? She JUST saved her last week! I know it's somewhat expected to separate challenge and real-life stuff but holy shit.

 

I don’t really follow stuff that happens off air so I had no idea about what went down but I don’t blame Nurys. Olivia picking Moriah over her, especially after last week.

And can we talk about how Moriah the past 2 seasons has literally done nothing but has been saved from eliminations because of how protected she is. Last year with Fessy and Bananas and this year being on the Jay/Michele Alliance. She’s the definition of skating by.

 

Yeah I think it was a ChallengeMania podcast where they were live in some city and Olivia was a guest and someone had a fan question or something where they asked why they stopped following each other on social media and why they didn't seem to be friends and Olivia just sidestepped it and said watch this season. As the season went on I was like oh it's probably "she's jealous of Horacio giving all his attention to Nurys". Definitely wasn't expecting this level of betrayal.

Moriah is literally the definition of a floater. She doesn't win anything, she's just in the background floating by. She's protected by relationships. Like you said, Fessy and Bananas last time and now I think the main reason (at least to me) is that Jay and Michelle see her as 2 votes simply because of James. If she wasn't in a relationship she'd just be her lonesome self and wouldn't be woeth the 2 votes. She'd be expendable. If she ever comes back (which I hope she doesn't cuz she's boring) I'm sure we'd see her in another relationship.

Damn when TJ said the winner was down to Horacio and Jay I was like fuckkkk. God this season just took a downfall. 2 best players gone. Ugh. Were DEFINITELY seeing those 2 again, I'm sure of it.

 

I’m actually surprised production had a double elimination this episode. I think it takes a lot of interest from the casual viewer now.

Now I honestly have no clue who the favorite is to win it all is now. No one really stands out.

 

Yeah same. The 2 challenge podcasts I listen to with past challengers were baffled at the decision too. They were wondering why production wouldn't have changed it up knowing there was a possibility of eliminating the 2 main people that had an underdog story going on because now ....the question is WHO do the fans root for now? Because not only did we lose those 2 but we also lost Ed who was a really good competitor and based on past performances might actually have been a contender. What, are we supposed to root for Jay now? LOL. Seriously, we could have lost just one person like last week and the show would still have something worth watching. Now I'm definitely just ready for it to end.

 

shit, you know I didnt even think of who I wanted to win now cause those were my top 3. I guess Nurys. I wouldnt be upset if Emanual won or even James. Imagine if James just rode Moriah's coattails for the win and dumped her immediately after. LOL

 

James almost died in his elimination round earlier this season just running back and forth for 20ish minutes. There’s no way he’s going to make a 3 day final. That’s the biggest reason he’s still around because he doesn’t have the endurance and isn’t a threat.

I don’t think Emmanuel is winning either only because I read somewhere that production didn’t even call him to appear on Season 40.

I’m guessing a girl is going to win. Either Nurys or Michele.

 

Yeah Nurys is who I'll be rooting for now. James would be hilarious but he has like zero endurance so I doubt it. But still, it'd be hilarious.

Rooting for Nurys, but I wouldn't mind a Michelle win.

Just anyone but Jay and Olivia.

 

Moriah is kept around because everyone knows they can beat her in the final. False sense of success

 

Like in Exes 2 when Jay and Jenna were kept and Jay actually thought it was because he was good. Then he quit within the first hour of the final because it was an eating challenge.

Ok so there's a new show The Challenge: Home Turf and it's not too bad. Its basically an introspective about a challenger and their life. First episode was CT and he took us to where he grew up, talked about his childhood, how he auditioned for the RW, then it went into his Challenge history, it touched on basically every season, his relationship with Diem, his wins, etc. Showed some of his family life with where his parents now live and his sister. I remember hearing about the show and thinking it was gonna be like a MTV Cribs or a tour of his town, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much actual Challenge history they showed. I'll def be checking out future episodes, it was a fun trip down memory lane.

I didn't know CT's younger bro went to school with Cara so they already had that connection. That was cool to know, how she's looked out for him in previous Challenges when he was just coming back into things.

 

Last nights episode was great. Happy about all the eliminations. Final starts next week! Lets gooooooo

Good episode of Home Turf. Hope now that she's had a long break from the Challenge she's ready to dominate again.

Amanda's Home Turf was not very interesting. Do we know who else we are getting as part of this series? Hoping for Bananas, Wes, Devin, and Tori.

Also, sad news for Nelly. “The Challenge” star Nelson Thomas to get foot amputation 1 year after car accident

 

Don't forget he was the drunk driver in that accident and tried to do a gofundme and omitted that fact.
